My Story

My meetings have always started over a lil cup of…SOMETHING! My story is a big long, as I have lived many lives - or so it feels. But this isn’t about me, it’s about YOU. However, part of why I do what I do stems from my journey to get where I am and part of knowing how I can help you would be to know a bit about me!

So here’s a little/lot of my history as an entrepreneur:

My entrepreneurial story starts at The Fashion institute of Technology (that’s if you don’t want to count my lemonade stand/jewelry store stand as a 10 year old) I dove head first into the fashion industry, where I learned I didn't like what was happening behind the scenes. The industry was DIRTY and made me feel like I was committing a crime by adding to the negative side effects that fashion had on people and the environment. Here’s where I formed my first “girl gang” - I founded the sustainability club out of the need to do better.

I met a few gals and decided if I wasn't going to drop out of fashion school, I was going to do something to change it. Thus, ESA was born. We began to host events to create awareness on sustainability in the fashion industry. To my surprise, there were a lot more people interested in this than I thought! Each of our events hosted over 300 attendees, where we educated people on what was going on in the fashion industry, all while throwing a dope event, that inspired people to shop more mindfully! From there an insider from the United Nations asked that I curate a fashion event that would support the Sustainable Development goals. To my surprise once again, this drew in a record breaking crowd of over 600 attendees to learn about brands that were sustainably and ethically made!

Realizing that this was where I wanted to focus my purpose and energy, I took it to the road and went on a solo mission to get more sustainable brands into stores. I mean it quite literally that I took it to the ROAD! I began cold calling stores to wholesale my curation of sustainable brands to. (This is where I can say I found my set of you know what…Cold calling was NOT easy, but It filled my heart to watch these indie brands land into some legendary stores. fast forward to opening my first pop up - Ecotistic, where I rented the back half of a store in Beacon. When my brands stole the show at the store I was in, I knew it was just a growing pain for what was next. After being discovered by a local woman with a similar vision, we joined forces to come up with the first ever sustainable collective in Westchester NY. After years of events, fashion shows, long nights out building a large network of mindful designers, I was able to curate over $100K worth of brands overnight to stock my newly opened store - KAHLO.

While this store became my baby, this was only where my marketing business was just starting to take off. I fell in love with creating content for the store and had already been able to apply my newly learned skill- Photography! To supplement the beginning stages of opening a store, I decided to help some other small businesses promote theirs, using photography. Thus, Bri Co Creates was born! After a few misjudgments in my store partnership, I decided to sell my half and continue my journey helping other businesses get on the map through visual storytelling. Bri Co Creates is what allowed me to keep my creativity, while getting to learn ALL new types of business and thankfully, keeping me afloat!

Back on the road again, I set out to find my first clients after my half sold- with a camera in one hand and a flyer in the other, I walked up Greenwich Avenue, and landed my first few clients. Now these weren’t just any clients, these were some pretty luxury brands that had been in business for over 30 years! I combined my knowledge of business, customer retention and community building with my photography skills and voila - A social media manager is born! I quite literally walked one block and landed clients that would be my jumping point to expand my skills and portfolio to now have the honor to have worked with many more new businesses. At the time I had no idea that what I started was an entirely new business and I haven’t slowed down since!
